Dirty bathroom tiles? These tips really work!

4. Chlorine
When it’s time for drastic cleaning, because the tiles and seams are discoloured by a thick layer of lime, chlorine is the only solution. Make sure to air the bathroom properly beforehand and only to use the bleach for the bathroom tiles and seams. Put the chlorine in a spray bottle, mix it with water and spray it on the discoloured places. Leave it on for a while and then rinse with warm water. If you just want to clean the seams with bleach: spray it directly on the discoloured or dirty bathroom seams, rub it in properly with an old toothbrush, leave it on the seams for a while and then rinse with clean water. They should be as good as new now!

5. Rinse aid.
Is cleaning the bathroom tiles not your favourite chore? Then make sure to rinse the tiles with warm water and rinse aid for the dishwasher after cleaning. This way the bathroom tiles will stay shiny longer, so that you will have to clean them less often.

6. Candle
Of course you would prefer to prevent mould and other dirt settling down in the bathroom seams, because let’s be honest: this is nobody’s favourite chore! Candle wax is the solution you’re looking for. Buy a long candle and drag it across the seams that get mouldy and/or dirty. Do this a few times, until there’s a thick layer. This wax layer prevents mould from getting on the seams. Once you’ve done this, you’ll see that you no longer have to clean them. You only have to check the candle wax layer every now and then. The first time sounds like a lot of work, but it’s definitely worth it!

You can also replace candle wax with another product. Curious about what this product is and what else you can do to keep your bathroom tiles – and seems clean? Read more on the next page.
